Including special chance to learn directly from
the dynamic members of Wild Asparagus:

Fiddle, winds, caller and gospel song workshops.

Wild Asparagus

Wild Asparagus is from Western Massachusetts. Drawing upon music from New England, the British Isles, and Canada, as well as classical sources, Wild Asparagus takes an original approach to the traditional dance music of our folk heritage. Using their unique blend of instruments, creativity, and skills, they offer a sensitive and powerful performance.

The heartbeat of Wild Asparagus is Ann Percival on piano, guitar, and vocals. Ann's playing is highly inventive while still maintaining an irresistible rhythm.

David Cantieni, a wood-wind wizard, pours forth lively melodies and liquid harmonies on his flutes, tin-whistle, oboe, saxophone and bombard.

Becky Tracy's masterful fiddling is that rare combination of energy and beauty.

George Marshall is an accomplished English concertina player and also provides driving rhythms on bodhran and bones.

Toronto

View of Toronto

Imagine dancing in an urban village community where everything is on offer on a fresh spring weekend–fabulous bookstores and cafes, fine dining, casual pubs, a full gamut of restaurants specializing in world cuisines, greengrocers, gourmet cheeses, health food stores, chic clothing – and some of the loveliest parks and ravines in North America.

Toronto ... Our famous subway can whisk you to any other part of the city if theatre or movies are what you seek; there's even an Irish session or two around ! If we say any more, we won’t get you to stay indoors dancing !
